What is Mailman?

Mailman is the Web-based mail list manager used at QTH.net. It allows list owners to modify lists easily as well as add and remove subscribers without having to know specific commands. List subscribers can easily modify their list subscriptions and preferences. Many people find Mailman more convenient and easier to use than email-based mail list managers. Mailman is designed to be safer then regular E mail.

What is a mail list?

An email reflector is a list of email addresses with a name that is an email address. When someone sends mail to that name, all the addresses in the list receive the mail.

Note that HTML mail should not be sent to lists as this increases the possibility of your message being rejected. If you don't know how, you can learn how to send mail in Plain-Text at: www.expita.com/nomime.html or mailman.qth.net/plaintext.htm
