EchoLink allows licensed Amateur Radio stations to connect to one another over the Internet. You can use EchoLink to connect your station (or your computer) over the Internet to other amateurs using the same software, and carry on a voice QSO. This greatly enhances the range and utility of our SARA Repeater 146.655 PL- 100 Hz. (W1EE)
If you are in range of an FM repeater or simplex station equipped with EchoLink, you can use your DTMF commands from your radio to access the EchoLink network. Each station has a Node Number. If you are a licensed amateur with an Internet-connected PC, you can also access EchoLink stations directly from your PC.
On the SARA Repeater 146.655 PL- 100 Hz. (W1EE) You will hear two short courtesy tones. When EchoLink is used over the internet you will hear a third louder courtesy tone over the repeater. This is to let you know when someone is transmitting from EchoLink from another repeater, link or a computer. Please leave a 2-3 second Pause between courtesy tones.
Chris, KB1QXR will be making adjustment remotely to my
computer and to the repeater controller. Test mode.
We will have a separate computer for EchoLink in the near future. We will be
able to adjust and control Echolink remotely from other computers. (Password
Protected) We could assign control operators to monitor EchoLink. Building a
simple device for more delay between the internet and my radio with the
SignaLink. Repeater will be able to pass DTMF tones for control with your
transceiver or connect to other stations thru EchoLink.

Password-protected Web server which allows the
WB1GRB-R to be remotely controlled from any Web browser connected to the
Internet. The Web server displays an HTML page which displays the current
status of the program, and allows the link to be enabled or disabled, and
stations to be connected or disconnected. Also shows recent entries from
the System log.
When I have EchoLink on normally these stations are connected. Other stations could also be connected!
These repeaters or links can also be programmed in your radio. When you are in range of a station you will then be linked to stations that are connected on this link.
